Another great place to shop for Celestron Powertank products is Amazon. They have more than just books! Here are some more information for Celestron Powertank: Is the Celestron Powertank good? + battery life of Nexstar 8SE? I recently got a Nexstar 8SE and I need portable power. Would you guys recommend the Celestron Powertank?, or is there any other alternative and cheaper way to get energy (specifically from a portable power source)? What products are out there that you'd recommend? Personally I think it is overpriced. Important to change the fuse in the plug so that it will not over power your telescope and short it out. I put a 1amp fuse in the plug itself. My power pack also has jumper cables and air compressor too. That way if I am out in the field and go to leave but cant because I need jumper cables or i have a flat tire, I can fix right there too. My husband loves the air compressor part for the tires to the RV and for the bicycles. I got it on sale for $30. What a deal. I have never once been cut short of power either. Thanks for visiting!

Also, how long should 8 fresh AA batteries last in the Nexstar?
Thanks, you guys are the best!
Oh yeah, the power source I'm looking for must have a North American power plug/socket or car battery socket - that's what the Nexstar uses.
I got my power source from the local car parts store. Schucks, Napa Auto Parts...any of those.
