Leupold Rx-Ii Digital Rangefinder mossy Oak Obsession Monocular 61460 Leupold Rx-Ii Digital Rangefinder mossy Oak Obsession Monocular 61460
List Price: $399.99
Sale Price: $331.20

Leupold Mossy Oak Obsession RX-II Rangefinder Md: 61460, True Ballistic Range will make a huge impact on your accuracy, giving you a much more accurate measurement than the straight line distance to your target. The RX II uses an inclinometer to measure up and down hill shots, coupled with the ballistics of your projectile to give you the equivalent horizontal range, and for rifle hunters, a hold over/hold under point or an MOA adjustment. , Magnification: 6x Objective: 23mm Field of View: 325ft @ 1000 yds Eye Relief: 21 mm Tube Diameter: N/A Length: 4" Weight: 6.8 oz Finish: Camo Accessories: Carrying case, Manufacturer: LEUPOLD & STEVENS INC, Model: 61460

Close enough simply isn't good enough for Leupold, and probably not for you, either. Fortunately, Leupold's line of digital rangefinders offers features and performance unmatched in other optics. The ultimate tool for bow hunters, the Leupold RX-II digital rangefinder offers a range capability to 750 yards, helping make up the difference between a hit and a miss. The RX-II does more than just deliver the straight-line distance, however, as the tool also employs True Ballistic Range (TBR) technology to match the aiming information to the performance of your rifle or bow. By calculating the incline, line-of-sight range to the target, and a projectile's ballistics, the RX-II provides both rifle and bow hunters the correct equivalent horizontal distance for precise shooting on an incline. In other words, you'll aim using the True Ballistic Range rather than the line-of-sight range. With practice, long-distance and/or steep angle shooting will become second nature. Simply dial in your RX-II to one of seven TBR ballistic settings for your rifle and three for the bow to enjoy incredible accuracy (TBR is effective to 800 yards for most rifle cartridges). The Match 13 reticle system gives you fast access to each reticle. The RX-II rangefinder also lets you do something you can't do with any other rangefinder--use multiple modes at once to tailor your readings to the conditions. For example, are you scouting a whitetail in the rain? Use the Rain mode and 1st Target mode at the same time to achieve the most accurate range possible. Only RX series rangefinders give you the ability to adapt to changing conditions like this. Plus, Leupold's exclusive Quick Set Rotary Menu is intuitive and easy to use, giving you fast access to all the incredible performance modes of the RX rangefinder. Perhaps the most useful customizable feature of the RX-II, however, is the Match 13 reticle system, which gives you fast access to each of the finder's 13 reticles. As a result, you'll always have the right reticle for any situation. In addition, each reticle is available with the Leupold Plus Point, giving you an added level of accuracy when pinpointing a target. Other features include a built-in inclinometer, which calculates the ballistics range to your target, then displays it as a holdover aim point, an MOA adjustment, or the equivalent horizontal distance; a 6x magnification level, with a wide field of view to track movement; a scan mode that continuously updates the range as you track a target or scan an area; a precision thermometer that gives you digital readings in Celsius or Fahrenheit; a battery power indicator for easy battery level checks; a common CR2 lithium camera battery that changes easily in the field; a rugged, waterproof construction; and a Mossy Oak Obsession camouflage finish. The RX-II rangefinder comes with a useful carrying case with a bungee/hook closure for silent operation in the field, a dog clip for attaching to your pack, and an internal pocket for carrying batteries, instructions, and other items. The rangefinder also offers a tripod thread, so you can keep it steady when acquiring your target. The RX-II rangefinder caries a one-year warranty on the internal electronics. Specifications Actual magnification: 6x Linear field of view: 325 feet @ 1,000 yards Angular field of view: 6 degrees Objective aperture: 23mm Twilight factor: 11.7 Exit pupil: 3.8mm Eye relief: 21mm Close focus distance: 18 feet Maximum range: 750 yards Minimum range: 3 yards Length: 4 inches Weight: 6.8 ounces

What To Expect Whilst On Safari

Going on a true safari adventure can be a holiday of a lifetime, an opportunity to experience nature like never before, witness breathtaking scenery and unspoilt panoramas. See wildlife that can truly be called wild. However bear in mind Africa is the poorest continent and can be an overwhelming culture shock, with distressing levels of poverty and crime. Despite everything with careful preparation, a reputable travel agent and an open mind a safari can exceed your wildest expectations.

Firstly let start with the best bits safari can offer. South Africa's most famous park, The Kruger National Park, boasts over 7700 square miles of protected, preserved land in which wildlife can flourish. With approximately 12500 wild elephants, there is certainly no abundance of nature. Usually the guides are expert trackers and are the best chance of getting a glimpse of the big 5, elephants, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo. It is not just animals that can be marvelled at, the safari sunsets and sunrises are world famous, seeing the fiery sun sink into the horizon is an amazing spectacle.

Unfortunately safari does not always live up to expectations, remember even in high season there are still no guarantees of seeing all the animals you wished to see, or perhaps as close as you could have wanted. Being patient is key, since safari is about witnessing wild animals in their natural environment, taking time to track animals, not making sudden movements and sitting still is all part of the experience. Small children usually become restless and impatient and therefore might not appreciate the adventure.

Early starts are a vital part of safari, since the midday sun is overpowering, and the fact it's not safe to walk around at night, getting up at the crack of dawn is essential. Therefore despite being on holiday, you will still have to get used to early starts! Another factor to remember is the annoyance of mosquitoes. There is no way to avoid mossies, wearing repellent and long sleeves is the best approach, but the occasional bite is inevitable.

Do not let these minor drawbacks put you off a safari adventure, after all an experienced guide will have an unbelievable knowledge of all the species that inhabit the parks, and know the best places to observe them. When you do observe a heard of wild elephants marching, a majestic lion or simply a stampede of buffalo, everything will be worth while and will form everlasting memories.

In conclusion, make the most of our planets amazing wildlife while it is still possible. Book a trip of a life time and experience a safari adventure. Whether you want to rough it in a tent, stay responsibly in an eco hotel or enjoy a 5 star luxury resort, it is all possible within the national parks. With various types of safari holiday to suite anyone, get in touch with nature today, just dont forget the three safari essentials that you will definitely need: a camera, binoculars and a decent sun hat!
